How much does a property inspection cost?
Pricing depends on the inspection type and property type. The scope and price are confirmed in your individual quotation before booking.
How long does an inspection take?
The time required depends on the property’s size, condition, access and agreed inspection scope. We confirm the expected visit duration when preparing your quotation.
How soon will I receive the report?
We agree the reporting timetable with you when we quote. Tell us any deadline you are working to and we will confirm what is achievable.
What if I am buying from overseas?
We can inspect on behalf of clients who cannot attend. Tell us your purchase and travel deadlines so that we can agree the visit and reporting timetable, and we will talk you through the findings.
Can you inspect before I sign the CPCV?
Where possible, arrange the inspection before signing the CPCV or making another binding purchase commitment. Your Portuguese lawyer should advise on the contract, any deposit, conditions and relevant deadlines. If timing is tight, contact us as early as possible.
Can the report help with negotiation?
Yes. The findings can support discussions about price, repairs or purchase terms. They may also help you decide not to proceed. The report does not guarantee a price reduction or recovery of the inspection fee.
